Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Somebody getting fired.

Billboard’s Twitter account posted a photo of North West with her mother, Kim Kardashian. The caption read, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree…” and showed North West with her tongue out, holding a lollipop.

Put the two together, and it’s not a good look at all.

The tweet was posted this morning around 7:00 a.m. ET. It was deleted a couple hours later.

The point of the photo, Billboard will almost certainly insist later when and if they address the tweet, was to show that North West was “taking control of her image” like her parents. The two-year-old was captured on video earlier this week saying “No pictures” to paparazzi.

It wasn’t “sassy,” as Billboard writes in the article. And no, Marie Claire, she wasn’t having a “f***ing meltdown.”

It was just a two-year-old having to deal with paparazzi and saying “No pictures,” in a two-year-old’s voice.

So that was the “point.”

**Update**

Billboard has finally addressed the North West photo/caption on Twitter:

In other words, what you thought you saw…you didn’t really see.

Got it.
