Khloé Kardashian throws Lamar Odom hospital birthday party, family celebrates Kris' 60th
Lamar Odom is turning 36, and although he is still in the hospital, Khloe Kardashian is throwing him a small party.
Lamar Odom is turning 36, and although he is still in the hospital, Khloe Kardashian threw him a small party.
“She would love for him to have a special day,” a source said.
The party was small, with close friends and family invited, including some of Odom’s former basketball friends.
“It’s just a very small group of people because Lamar cannot handle too much stimulus, but the doctors are allowing a small group for a short time on his birthday,” People’s source said.
For Odom’s birthday, his aunt, JaNean Mercer, also released a statement:
“Every birthday with Lamar is special but today is an especially momentous occasion and we honor God for this day and thank him for allowing us to spend this time together,” spokeswoman Alvina Alston said. “Please continue to keep Lamar and our family in prayer as he continues on this miraculous journey.”
Although Odom’s friend Daniel Artest cannot attend the party, he made plans to meet up with older brother Metta World Peace to give Odom a call and wish him a happy birthday from afar. “I hope we can say, ‘Happy Birthday’ together as a family. He’s someone I grew up with,” Artest told The News.
None of Lamar’s friends who were part of his drug crew were invited to the festivities. Afterwards the family all met up again for Kris’ Jenner’s $2 million Great Gatsby themed 60th birthday.
