A Florida teen has been arrested for posing as a doctor, giving physical exams and advice, at a “holistic medical clinic” he founded in West Palm Beach.

The 18-year-old Malachi Love-Robinson is the same teen who one year ago also posed as a doctor at an OB/GYN center and was caught in January of 2015 peeking into gynecological exams while he kept a stash of lab coats in his car.

Authorities received a tip in October that Love-Robinson was practicing medicine without a license at his newly founded New Birth New Life Holistic and Alternative Medical Center. A cease-and-desist letter was sent to Love-Robinson, but he did not stop his practice. As authorities looked into the situation, they realized that this was not the first time Love-Robinson had posed as a medical professional.

They sent in an undercover officer who, after receiving a medical exam and advice from Love-Robinson, arrested him.

Love-Robinson’s grandfather, William Robinson, said that the arrest was due to a misunderstanding, as his grandson did not claim to be a medical doctor but a holistic doctor, with certificates from online schools, though Robinson could not name the schools.

“He’s not out doing drugs, he’s not out trying to rob nobody,” Robinson said. “He’s trying to do something constructive, and if he did do something and the paperwork wasn’t right — he can get ahead of himself sometimes and he may have been trying too hard, but he had good intentions.”
