A North Carolina 18-year-old was charged with “inflicting serious bodily injury” on another teen when she bit off a "large portion" of the girl's earlobe.

A North Carolina 18-year-old was charged with “inflicting serious bodily injury” on another teen when she bit off a “large portion” of the girl’s earlobe.

Amber Romero attacked the other girl, 16-year-old Emiyah Lane Brown, in a fight that started when another student threw a lunch bag at Romero.

“I really truly feel sorry for the family,” Romero’s mother Rynee said after the incident. “Me and my daughter, sincerely apologize and we both hate it that this happened to her.”

Romero’s mother went on to say that her behavior was the result of having been bullied at school.

Meanwhile, Brown has had to undergo surgery to fix the ear that Romero bit in the fight.
