A group of four men who were caught on surveillance breaking into a car may have inadvertently saved a dog that was locked inside the car.

Video of the incident, which took place on Monday morning, was posted to Facebook on Tuesday by the Irish Nobleman Pub.

The man who owned the truck that was allegedly robbed parked at the pub at 9:13 a.m., according to the time stamp on the footage, when, according to the restaurant, the temperature was 80 degrees.

At around 9:34 a.m, a group of four men approach the car and then go out of frame before one of them appears to break the window of the car and pull something out that has been identified by the restaurant as a laptop.

The pub said that the men likely did not know that the dog was in the backseat with all the windows rolled up, but by breaking the window, they likely saved the dog’s life after it had been left out in the heat by its owner.

Finally, in the video, the truck owner can be seen coming back to his car around 10:15 a.m.
