‘I’ve been in love with since her since I was 22’: Drake declares love for Rihanna

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Apparently, Drake has quite the romantic side, and it has been on full display. First, he declared his love for Rihanna at the VMA’s on Sunday, and then he went on Instagram to praise her some more.

After the awards show, he posted a selfie showing him kissing the singing starlet.

“This is a night for us all to be thankful for what you have done for us!” he captioned. “You have affected so many of our lives in the best way possible. Tonight we celebrate you! @badgalriri”

Unlike what happens when Justin Bieber posts pics of a girlfriend, Drake’s 27.3 million followers were happy for him, posting heart emojis and lots of happy messages.

While the couple have yet to confirm they are in a romantic relationship, Drake’s latest statements make it seem like they are.

Drake was near tears when he handed Rihanna the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

He went on about her music, her great personality and her ability to stay grounded all before bringing out the big guns and declaring his love for her.

“We love the music which could change styles from album to album,” he said. “We love the videos which change their artistic vision from year to year. But most of all, we love the woman who hasn’t changed since day one. She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old. She’s one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her even though she’s younger than me.”

Fans thought he was going to take it one step further and propose, but he didn’t. They did, however, share a kiss for the happy cameras.
