Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

A Virginia Beach resident was absolutely floored when he entered a restaurant to see that someone had taped San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s jersey to the floor at the front entrance.

“What went through my mind was like ‘Wow, is this real or is it a joke?’ How would you feel if someone taped a police officer’s uniform down?” James Perry, the customer who posted about the jersey online, asked.

The general manager of the bar has stated since Perry’s post that the jersey was taped down as a statement about sportsmanship and Kaepernick’s perceived lack of respect for the flag, not race, but all the same, Perry is now pleading with people to boycott the Krossroads Rock and Country Bar.
