Did Trevor Noah really send Tomi Lahren cupcakes? He responds
After Trevor Noah grilled Tomi Lahren on The Daily Show over her claims that she “didn’t see color,” the internet was singing his praises.
But that quickly turned around the Lahren posted a picture of herself with cupcakes that she claimed were sent to her by Noah. She captioned the image on social media: “When @trevornoah sends you cupcakes and you realize a mutual love of sugar might be the common ground you needed! #TeamTomi #thedailyshow #sweettooth #cupcakes #commonground.”
When the story first broke, Daily Show fans were outraged over what they saw as an apology for tearing her apart on his show.
But TMZ reported that the cupcakes were sent by the Daily Show team as a thank you gift for appearing on the show, not as a personal gift from Noah.
