Actor arrested after for slapping Uber driver during Trump debate

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

On Friday morning, T.J. Miller was arrested after he allegedly slapped an Uber driver during a debate about president-elect Donald Trump.

The driver had just picked up Miller from the GQ Men of the Year party in Hollywood, and the driver told TMZ that Miller slapped him in the back of the head when they arrived at his home. The driver then put Miller under citizen’s arrest and called police.

When police arrived, the allegedly intoxicated Miller was taken into custody. However, he was released the next morning on his own recognizance without having to post bail.

The details about the argument concerning Trump are not yet clear in this case, though Miller has made no secret of the fact that he does not like the president-elect.

On November 1, he appeared on the Conan Show as part of an appearance promoting his stint as the host of the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday.

During the appearance, he pulled out a Trump tie and said, “So I almost forgot. In the early 2000s, ironically, I bought this tie back when Donald Trump was funny.”

“He’s not very funny anymore,” Miller added and then proceeded to set the tie on fire while the audience cheered.
