Online dispute leads to the death of two men in shootout

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

On Saturday morning, two Florida men died in a shootout after an argument outside a convenience store turned deadly.

Canyon Charles Molitor died at the scene of the shooting and suffered multiple gunshot wounds, while the other man, Elroi Ishmael Ashley, died after fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Police later found the vehicle in a parking lot, and although emergency medical personnel tried to treat him, he died after being taken to the hospital for surgery.

According to police, the two men had been arguing over “digital communication” and then agreed to meet face-to-face at the store before the argument turned physical and both drew their weapons to shoot each other.

The investigation into what started the argument is still ongoing.
