Essence hosts ‘Best in Black Beauty’ with Colgate Optic White

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

As black women continue to dominate in sports, news, politics and entertainment, it’s no surprise that they shine in beauty too. In celebration of our melanin-magic, Essence Magazine hosted its Best In Black Beauty Awards on Thursday with a bevy of style and beauty influencers.

The #BeRadiant pre-reception party was held last night at the Sugar Factory in NYC and sponsored by Colgate Optic White — one of the winners of the 2017 Best in Black Beauty Award. TV personality Vanessa Simmons, singer Zonnique Harris, Essence Magazine’s beauty editor Julee Wilson and blogger Claire Sulmers were on hand to help celebrate Radiant™ by Colgate® Optic White Beauty™’s award for the best “game changing product” for black women.

The secret to black women’s beauty? Our smile. So it’s no surprise that Colgate’s new Radiant™ Toothpaste by Colgate®Optic White® was awarded ESSENCE Magazine’s 2017 Best in Black Beauty Award for being a “Game-Changing product” for black women. This year’s other top beauty brand winners include Lancôme, Carol’s Daughter, Tom Ford and Makeup Forever.

Julee Wilson hosted a very informative #BeRadiant beauty conversation with Vanessa Simmons and Zonnique Harris, where they spoke about the newest must-have beauty product, Radiant™ by Colgate® Optic White Beauty™ — a product that enhances your most valuable feature, your smile.

The advanced formula goes beyond the surface to whiten teeth from the inside and out, allowing your natural radiance to shine through for a brighter, more radiant you.
