Delta Airlines pilot filmed hitting female passenger in Atlanta

First it was United Airlines that got violent, and now it’s Delta. On Saturday, TMZ reported a Delta pilot was caught on camera hitting a female at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The video begins with two passengers getting into a physical fight in the jetway. They pull each other to the ground in the struggle, and you can hear a man say, “knock it off,” before the pilot comes into view in what seems like an attempt to separate the women.

He is seen striking one of them on the arm before leaving the scene.

The altercation happened on April 21 and was quickly investigated by Delta officials. The pilot was temporarily suspended, though the airline concluded he was not in the wrong and was attempting to “deescalated an altercation.”

“We became aware of this incident and a video last week and immediately removed the pilot from duty while we completed a thorough investigation,” a Delta spokesperson said to TMZ.

“Local law enforcement was called to respond at the time of the incident. The pilot has since been returned to work as our investigation found that his actions deescalated an altercation between passengers on the jetway floor during deplaning.”

No one involved with the situation is pressing charges.
