The star of Rob & Big, the hit show on MTV in which Boykin was the best friend and bodyguard to Rob Dyrdek, died on Tuesday morning.

The star of Rob & Big, the hit show on MTV in which Boykin was the best friend and bodyguard to Rob Dyrdek as they palled around through adventures together, died on Tuesday morning, according to TMZ. Sources said that Boykin had passed due to a heart attack, though no official cause of death has yet been released.

Boykin and Dyrdek shot their reality show from 2006 to 2008 before their relationship began to show signs of strain. However, they were eventually able to patch things up and worked together again on Fantasy Factory.

Boykin is survived by his 9-year-old daughter.
