The Richmond County, Georgia Board of Education just released video of a former safety officer choking a student.

The Board of Education fired officer James Holmon after witnesses say he pushed a student to the ground and choked him at a high school football game on September 11th.

An appeal has been made by a representative for Holmon. No word yet on when the school board will hear that.

Holmon was fired on Tuesday, after an investigation found he used excessive force.

The video was recorded by a camera the safety officer was wearing. Several school officials said they saw Holmon confront the teen, throw him to the ground, place his hands around his neck and tell him several times “I will kill you.”
