ATLANTA (AP) — This week, Clark Atlanta University is launching a campaign to help end domestic violence.
“The Call to True Beauty” is the historically black college’s zero-tolerance attitude attitude toward the issue. The school hopes to create a network of research, advocacy and prevention across the country, and especially among other HBCUs. The series is sponsored by Avon Products, Inc. and Verizon Wireless, and both companies are donating $6,000 scholarships to Clark Atlanta to help students doing work against domestic violence.
A full schedule of the week’s events is available online at www.cau.edu.
