Georgia firefighter is being accused of taking a cell phone video of a young woman killed in a car crash and then sharing the video. The video ultimately reached her parent’s hands.

Firefighter Terrence Reed is set to lose his job at the Spalding County Fire Department. Authorities say he videotaped the body of 23-year-old Dana Kempson. To the dismay of her parents, the video has gone viral.

“Well, the damage is done, ” said Jeffrey Kempson, the victim’s father.

“If he’s sorry for what he did, then an apology would be nice.” Mr. Kempson said, ” We need to forgive this guy and we probably can in time.”

The Kempsons say they are angered by what they call a violation of their daughter’s privacy and the lack of concern of her well being by first responders. Authorities say she died instantly.

“All they did was take her picture and walk around her and position the flashlight here,” said her mother Lucretia Kempson, “It’s etched in my mind and I don’t like it.”

The Kempsons say their ultimate goal is to get a law passed making it a federal offense to videotape or otherwise record a victim of an emergency.
