A radio show host who says that illegal immigrants shouldn’t receive education and shouldn’t be treated at hospitals will now be the Chief of Staff for newly elected Congresseman Allen West.

Joyce Kauffman is West’s choice, and she’s a radio host considered to be an extreme conservative on issues such as immigration and religion.

Grio contributor Joy Ann Reid calls the Kauffman appointment yet another example of “the right wing talk radio callers go to Washington.”

According to Reid, Kauffman represents West’s ideology because they’re both extremist.

“If you commit a crime while you’re here, we should hang you and send your body to where you came from, and your family should pay for it,” Joyce kauffman said.

West and Allen are both strong supporters of the Tea Party and have protested of building any mosques in South Florida. The difference is that Kauffman has a radio show and West doesn’t.

Kauffman will remain a correspondent for radio station WFTL while she serves under West.
