As we celebrate Black History Month, we may want to seriously examine what it means to be “African American” in this country. Since 2007, more than 1.4 million African immigrants have brought a new wave of “African Americans” to the United States, increasing the number by 40% since the Sixties. Our New York-based Game Changer Tesfaye Negussie, a black man of Ethiopian descent, explores what it means to be a black man who is both African American, African, and Ethiopian in America.
