Houston police are searching for Nathaniel Rowe, 54, who is accused of raping, beating and robbing an 82-year-old woman in her home in March.
Rowe used to do yard work for the victim and was initially questioned and released, but recent DNA results have matched him to the crime. NBC’s KPRC Click2Houston reports Rowe broke into the victims home and demanded money. The woman didn’t have any cash, so he stole lottery tickets found in her pusre.
Rowe then proceeded to tie her up, blindfold her and later beat and rape her.
The suspect has not been seen since an warrant for his arrest was issued last week. Rowe has a previous history of drug arrests and prosecutors consider him extremely dangerous.
“If you’ll rape an 82-year-old woman, you don’t have any boundaries in my opinion,” said prosecutor Donna Rogan to KPRC. “That’s about as bad as it gets.”
If caught Rowe faces a bond of at least $50,000 and if convicted he could serve up to life in prison.
