Mariah Carey debuts new song and video with Maybach Music Group

After taking a break from music to start her family, Mariah Carey is returning to the airwaves with a comeback single.

Like Carey’s done in the past, ‘Triumphant’ continues her tradition of hooking up with the hottest rappers in the industry. This time she’s teaming up with Maybach Music Group (MMG) stars Rick Ross and Meek Mill. In the accompanying video, we see Meek boxing like he’s Cinderella Man, Ross cheering from ringside, and Mariah prancing around as a ring girl.

While Carey is billed as the headliner of the song, she comes across more as background noise as MMG raps ferociously as soon as the beat drops. Let’s hope for her next single, the ‘Butterfly’ singer receives top billing.
