The first same sex male couple to be featured in Jet magazine’s weddings section appeared on MSNBC to share their story.
In an interview with anchor Thomas Roberts, Ravi Perry and Paris Prince explained what it meant to them to be selected by the iconic publication and the progress of the LGBT movement in the African-American community.
While Paris is aware that he and his spouse Ravi did make history with their Jet article, they know it’s just one small part of a bigger struggle for gay rights in America.
“I understand we are apart of a movement and there is a large evolution, not just for Jet, but also in the hearts of people all over the country. As we know, President Obama has evolved and now we can add Jet to that list.”
