TODAY – It’s been nine years since Oprah Winfrey repeated those welcome words to an eager (and then some) audience: “You get a car! You get a car! And you …” get the idea.
The former titan of talk gave away 276 Pontiacs during that major “Oprah Winfrey Show” moment, and on Wednesday night, she must have been feeling a little nostalgic. During a visit to “Jimmy Kimmy Live,” Winfrey did it again — sort of.
“You … you … you get a car! You get a car! You get a car!” she shouted as confetti rained down on the “Live” stage.
Only this time, she shouted it to just one audience member.
“We don’t have a car!” Kimmel insisted. But O knew better and handed over the keys to a new Ford.
“I started to get this under control,” she joked of her addiction to auto giveaways. “Every once in a while it just happens, Jimmy — especially when I skip lunch. My blood sugar gets low. … I feel better.”
And so did one lucky lady from the audience.
