Gospel choir sings ‘Keep your business off of Facebook’

The rise of social media has made websites like Facebook and Twitter key platforms for sharing information — but one gospel choir strongly advises users against publishing personal news.
In a performance — that was recorded in a video which ultimately went viral — an unidentified church choir sings a song with a special message to its congregation.
“You need to keep your business off of Facebook,” the male lead singer says.
“The things that you say, you know they’re gonna find out about ‘em anyway,” he goes on to sing. “Those pictures that you post, you need to quit it because you’re doing the most.”
The two-minute long video was recorded by a member of the audience in what appears to be an actual church service.
“Sunday you act like a saint, but your Facebook posts say you ain’t,” other lyrics went.
The video, which was uploaded on July 12, has received over 200,000 views so far.
The descriptor under the video reads: “A new christian classic about the pitfalls of hubris and lack of discretion in today’s social media world.”
