Has twerking jumped the shark? Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus reportedly team up for ‘Twerk’ single

Watching Miley Cyrus “twerk” is like listening to the same knock-knock joke repeatedly. It makes your eyes roll.
The former Disney starlet’s raunchy, scantily-clad MTV Video Music Awards performance has dominated headlines ad nausea since Sunday.
While Cyrus didn’t invent twerking, she has arguably brought it into the mainstream.
And now she has caused its premature death.
She’s made the term so ubiquitous that it’s been added to the new edition of the Oxford dictionary.
And today word has leaked that she is collaborating on a song, actually titled “Twerk”, with none-other than her fellow fallen pop star Justin Bieber.

Is anyone else over this yet? What started as an amusing, albeit ratchet, Internet craze has now become codified into something lame and embarrassing.
Once your parents start inquiring about what twerking is and how it’s done, that should be a sign that this “phenomenon” has gone too far.
Some artists, including rapper Juicy J, have come to Cyrus’ defense.
“People need to get over it,” the “Bandz A Make Her Dance” artist said. “I saw it as her having fun.”
However, the overwhelming consensus has been that it may be time for the singer to take a break and have a seat.
During the 20-year-old’s VMAs performance there was awkward amounts of tongue, grinding on a married man and the motor-boating of an African-American backup dancer’s booty.
The profound message appears to be that Cyrus is no longer anything like her innocent Disney alter ego, Hannah Montana. Duly noted.
Cyrus is actually talented but lately she’s only showing a knack for gross overexposure.
