As the son of a newly-elected New York City mayor, Dante de Blasio has fair share his perks and pressure.
But when friends of the 16-year-old lobby him into convincing his father, Bill de Blasio, to cancel school for the day — Dante was up for the challenge.
The teen’s wishes soon came true after Mayor de Blasio and NYC schools chancellor Carmen Farina made the decision to close schools for the day after nine inches of snow cloaked the city.
However, it remains unclear on how much Dante’s influence had on the decision.
Regardless, the father and son duo were both seen spending the day shoveling snow.
