An “unruly” passenger forced a Virgin America flight to land earlier than scheduled Monday, according to officials.
The flight, traveling from Boston to Los Angeles, was forced to land in Nebraska because police say 26-year-old Doug Adams was “masturbating” and “later tried to open an exit door.”
According to KNBC, the U.S. Attorney’s Office told local reporters Adams was taken to a hospital for evaluation. A fellow passenger, Sam Slater, videotaped Adams being escorted off the plane.
Slater said he spotted a “hospital bracelet” on Adams’ wrist.
