Video shows father being gunned down by gang while holding baby daughter

theGRIO REPORT - A Bronx man was shot and killed with his 1 year old daughter cradled in his arms on Tuesday in an apparent gang related shooting.

A Bronx man was shot and killed with his infant daughter cradled in his arms Tuesday.

Investigators say the fatal shooting appears to be gang-related. Officials tell the New York Daily News the alleged killer sped off in a Mercedes-Benz after gunning down 21-year-old Allen McQueen.

The incident happened at around midday in the Parkchester section of the Bronx. The shooting occurred on Taylor Avenue, which is reportedly the first name of the McQueen’s daughter who survived.

Taylor is also the name of a violent street gang — the Taylor Crew — that police say McQueen was a part of.

“He had problems with other people, but he’s young,” McQueen’s father, Woodrow Hines, said in an interview with the Daily News. “He was a good dad. He had just left our house, too. He said he was taking her to the park.”

Mr. McQueen attempted to run away from the gunfire, police officials say, but was struck once in the back and pronounced dead at Jacobi Medical Center.

His daughter was taken for observation and treated for a bump on her head but is otherwise expected to make a full recovery.
