Compton rapper Teriq Royal had just survived being shot in the head, he claims, by an AK-47.
And then he shot a selfie video.
In the video, which shows the rapper covered in blood, Royal claims that he has earned the status of a “real rapper” after his ordeal of being shot at the gas station.
Royal uploaded the gruesome video to Facebook with the following caption: “God let me walk away from an AK-47 dumping rounds at me and my bros. I just want y’all to know God is real and God loves you. [We’re] living in some dark days, we wasn’t even his targets, he was just trigger happy.”
He also uploaded an image of an X-Ray showing a bullet fragment in his head, calling it his “third eye for the rest of my life.” While he seemed to take the whole thing in stride and even said that he would be rapping about the experience, he did admit that it was jarring to think about the fact that he could have been killed by the bullet fragments in his skull if they had managed to penetrate and reach his brain.
