Lifetime has released the first picture of Lex Scott Davis in-character as Toni Braxton for their biopic of the famous singer.
The biopic, which will air on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 8 p.m., is based on Braxton’s 2014 memoir, “Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart.” The story follows Braxton’s struggles throughout her lifetime, including her divorce, her financial struggles, and her journey of learning how to care for her autistic son.
Following the special, Lifetime will air an hour-long special called “Beyond the Headlines: Toni Braxton,” which will feature interviews with family and friends as well as with Braxton herself.
Braxton will executive produce the film and will also appear in it.
