Cherelle Baldwin was arrested in 2013 after fatally hitting her boyfriend with her car, though she maintained that she acted in self-defense, because he was abusing her prior to her actions.

Baldwin claimed that her boyfriend choked her with a belt, which led her to drive her car into him, ultimately smashing him against the cinderblock wall of the garage.
Last year, a mistrial was called for Baldwin’s case because of a hung jury, and now, she has been declared not guilty.
