Chestnut, 47, has been married to his wife Pam for more than twenty years and the couple also has a son named Grant.

–Morris Chestnut: ‘I definitely have not reached my full potential’

“I’m in Hollywood, but Hollywood is not my life,” he explained in an interview with HuffPost Live earlier this year. “I think a lot of the times what happens is people get so engrossed in the industry and the industry is their life and their friends….I’ve dealt with instabilities (ups and downs) in my career but it’s never been my life. It’s just been an aspect of my life.”
