“The truck hit the Jeep pretty hard,” Willis said. He then jumped into action, saying that his first priority was to “get the door open and get the child out, because the Jeep caught on fire.”

Once Willis got her out, the baby was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where she is recovering with family by her side.
“I talked with the baby’s aunt on the father’s side and just (got) a lot of thank you’s,” Willis said.

“I pray to God that his will is done, but that he will save my granddaughter, that he will let her live, because we want her here with us,” said Green’s mother-in-law, Shilesta Ryals. “I’ll dedicate my life to raising her and making sure I treat her as well as her mother treated her.”
Ryals said that Green’s own faulty car might have caused the accident.
“Her car would stall, once she (took) off it would stop on her and stall and then it would just jerk into place and go, and I know that’s what happened,” Ryals said.
