Notorious B.I.G. Scripted Comedy coming soon
Nineteen years since the passing of hip-hop legend Notorious B.I.G, TBS is looking to him for a new comedy.
Biggie Smalls was killed on March 9th 1997, during a drive-by shooting after a Post-Soul Train Awards party. Smalls was shot four times, with the forth shot said to be the fatal one, damaging his colon, liver, heart and lungs.

This new comedy set to air on TBS is said to be titled “Think B.I.G.” The show will be loosely based off of Biggie’s songs that show the struggles of an inner-city teen trying to make a better future for his daughter and son.
Brett Weitz, the executive vice president of TBS, released this statement:
“Think B.I.G. speak to the types of projects we will cultivate with Mass Appeal moving forward. Mass Appeal is a leader in developing unique stories with diverse voices. There’s no better partner for us to connect with this vibrant, impassioned audience.”

There is also another show stated to come entitled “Storyville,” which is already in production. This show features funny, weird and often joyful stories told by musicians, actors, comedians and writers telling true-life stories that are animated and expose the absurdities of celebrity culture. It will premiere in the fall across TBS digital and social platforms. Watch the pilot here.
Both projects are the first to come from Turner’s larger deal with Mass Appeal, which has been a content creator since 1996.
