Actor Thomas Ford, known for his role as "Tommy" on the hit 90s sitcom Martin, has been hospitalized — but has not passed away despite conflicting reports.
Actor Thomas Ford, known for his role as “Tommy” on the hit 90s sitcom Martin, has been hospitalized — but has not passed away despite conflicting reports.
“He is in the hospital, but he has not passed away,” Jayme Pervis, Ford’s agent, told theGrio.com in an interview.
Ford’s wife reportedly told TMZ he has been hospitalized since Sunday when an “aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen.”
Actor Anthony Anderson tweeted that Ford had died Wednesday, which caused considerable confusion on social media. TMZ ran with Anderson’s tweet and published that the actor had died.
Anderson has since deleted his tweet, and TMZ has changed their story to reflect the update.
Ford has had notable roles on shows such as New York Undercover and The Parkers. According to his official website, he was in the process of filming a documentary.

Ford had knee replacement surgery at the end of September and has shared his progress with his followers on social media.
Last week, the actor described his progress as “amazing” and thanked his fans for their support.
