According to NFL Network, Marshawn Lynch may be coming out of retirement so that he can play for his hometown.
Lynch’s reps have reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the Oakland Raiders, which is expected to become official on Wednesday after a trade with the Seattle Seahawks.
Fox Sports reported that as part of the deal, the Seahawks will trade their sixth-round pick for the Raiders’ fifth-round pick for the upcoming 2018 draft.
Since Lynch hasn’t played since the 2015 season, he will need to pass a physical in order to be allowed to play. If he does, he will have a base salary of $3 million with a $2 million incentive if he can gain 1,000 yards, with the maximum set at $8.5 million.
