After Jada Pinkett Smith slammed the new Tupac Shakur biopic, All Eyez On Me, describing its portrayal of her relationship with the late rapper as “deeply hurtful,” the actress who plays her in the film has responded.

“When I first got the role, I reached out to [Jada] a year and a half ago… the point of reaching out to her, as well as the other producers on the film, was to ensure the integrity of the story and the character,” Graham said.
