Van Jones: A Nazi assassinated an American ‘in broad daylight’

CNN’s Van Jones didn’t mince words when it came to President Donald Trump‘s response to the violence in Virginia over the weekend.
In a statement in response to the news that a white supremacist had driven into a crowd of counter protesters, injuring about 20 people and killing one, the president said that there was anger and hurt on “many sides.”
But Jones wasn’t going to stand for that vague condemnation and instead called it like it is.

″…An American citizen was assassinated in broad daylight by a Nazi. A Nazi, who the day before had been marching with torches down American streets saying anti-Jewish, anti-Black stuff,” Jones said on State of the Union Sunday morning. “…This is not a time to talk about ‘both sides.’”
“‘Both sides’ are not using ISIS tactics ― mowing people down with cars ― in the streets of America,” Jones added.
Trump has drawn fire for his comments after the attack, because many people, on both sides of the aisle, feel that he was not strong enough in his condemnation and did not acknowledge the fact that the suspected killer, James Fields, was part of a group of self-described fascists.
