A 24-year-old woman has been accused of killing her two youngest children by placing them in an oven and turning it on.
Lamora Williams has been arrested on murder charges after allegedly placing 1-year-old Ja’Karter Penn and 2-year-old Ke-Yaunte Penn in the oven sometime early Friday.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the two boys were found dead with burn marks on their bodies after Jameel Penn, the father of her three youngest children, called the police. Penn had received a call from Williams that his kids were dead, and he called police when he saw the two boys on the floor during a video chat.
“I ain’t got no soul no more,” the mourning father said during a vigil on Saturday.
The two of them also had a 3-year-old son together, though the boy was found unharmed in the apartment. Williams also has a 6-year-old daughter, who was not home at the time.
According to friends and family, Williams suffers from an undiagnosed mental illness. They have asked for her to be placed on suicide watch while she is in prison.
