Chris Rock is gearing up to release his first stand-up special in ten years just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Chris Rock: Tamborine, is the first of two upcoming stand-up specials from the comedian who hasn’t hit the stage like this since his 2008 HBO smash, Kill The Messenger.

The show premieres tomorrow so you can Netflix and laugh on Valentine’s day!

Tamborine was filmed at NYC’s Brooklyn Academy of Music and is directed by Bo Burnham. The show will focus on relationships, race and social issues in the way only Rock can.

While Rock hasn’t filmed any standup specials for a few years, he has stayed busy in other areas of entertainment. He produced Amy Schumer’s Netflix comedy show, The Leather Special, and snagged a recurring guest role of FOX’s Empire. He also hosted the Academy Awards in 2016 and killed it.

Tamborine, will also be the first standup special Rock has starred in since he split from his wife of 14 years, Malaak Compton-Rock in 2014 so we expect the topic of what went wrong will be explored by the comedian.

“I wasn’t a good husband a lot of the times,” Rock said during an interview with Rolling Stone. “I was a piece of s***.”

He explained that he thought he could get away his behavior because he was famous and because he was the breadwinner, describing that mentality as “bulls***.”

“That actually goes the other way. My faults are magnified. Your significant other, if they really love you, has a high opinion of you. And you let them down … Getting divorced, you have to f—ing start over. You get to reset. It’s not a breakdown, but something in your life broke down,” Rock said.

Last year, he inked a $40 million deal with Netflix for the two standup specials.

So, if you’re face down in a tub of Ben & Jerry’s sobbing away singleness on Valentine’s day, Chris Rock will be there to wipe your tears and hopefully, prompt tears of laughter!
