MTV taps Tiffany Haddish to host awards show because she’s having the best year ever
Tiffany Haddish is still on top of the world.
Her book, The Last Black Unicorn, is on the bestseller list, and she recently hosted Saturday Night Live. Riding the high of the success of her breakout role in Girls Trip, she’s also starring with Tracy Morgan in the new TBS sitcom The Last OG and will star opposite Kevin Hart in Universal’s Night School.
And now, she’s set to host the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards in June, according to Deadline.

“Tiffany Haddish is quickly establishing herself as one of the most sought-after actresses and comedic talents in television and film,” MTV said of the decision to have her host.

Tiffany keeps it real
While Haddish has certainly been getting attention for her projects, it’s her hilarious stories that have people loving every bit of Tiffany news.
Earlier this year, Haddish shared a funny story about how Beyoncé helped her fix her wig and played peace maker to prevent Haddish from getting into a physical fight with another party guest. That was the origin story behind the adorable picture of Beyoncé peeking from behind Haddish’s hair.
Then, earlier this month, Haddish shared a new Beyoncé story. Apparently, she and another actress had been at a private after-party for a Jay-Z concert, and the other actress touched JAY-Z’s chest.
Queen Bey was not happy about it.
“Beyoncé came walking up like ‘Biiiiiiiiitch!’ She ain’t say that, but her demeanor and her body language and the way she walked up on her was like ‘Get your hand off my man’s chest,'” Haddish recalled in a TVOne Uncensored clip.
Haddish claimed that “some other stuff” happened, but she didn’t spill more details.
But with so many projects in the works and now this hosting gig with MTV, it looks like we’ll have all the Tiffany Haddish escapades we can stand!
