Meek Mill’s arresting officer tagged as a corrupt cop by Philly D.A

Allegations of Meek Mill being the victim of a conspiracy to keep him locked up may be more credible than people previously thought.

According to the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, Officer Reginald Graham — who played a crucial role in Meek’s 2007 arrest for gun and drug charges — is one of 29 current and former cops the D.A. has placed on a “do not call” list. The list serves as a warning prosecutors to keep them off their witness stands due to allegations of misconduct.

According TMZ, “The list — first obtained by the Philadelphia Inquirer — states Graham was “investigated by federal authorities for several alleged acts of corruption.” Graham was the only witness in Meek’s 2008 trial.

Meek’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, said “The release of the so-called ‘Do Not Testify’ list supports everything in the motions filed by Mill and others wrongfully arrested by Officer Graham for post-conviction relief.”

Meek is currently serving 2 – 4 years after getting hit with a parole violation late last year. A Philadelphia judge ruled that he violated the gun and drug case against him after his arrest for a fight at St. Louis Airport and another for reckless driving in New York.

The sentence against him drew wide criticism and created new debate about prison justice reform. Supporters in the hip-hop community included Jay-Z, T.I., Nipsey Hussle and Rick Ross.

“The sentence handed down by the Judge — against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer — is unjust and heavy handed. We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career,” Jay-Z tweeted late last year.
