CASTING NEWS: Sterling K. Brown may star in ‘Frozen 2’

The Emmy-wining actor is reportedly in talks to star in the highly-anticipated Disney sequel.

Sterling K. Brown continues to dominate the small screen with his award-winning role of Randall Pearson on This Is Us but it looks like he may be taking his talents to new heights if these rumors are true.

According to reports, Brown is in talks to lend his voice to Disney’s upcoming animated feature film, Frozen 2, the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2013 hit that starred Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell. Now old on what character Brown would voice, but we can’t wait to see him in an animated flick.

Variety is reporting that Westworld star, Evan Rachel Wood, is also considering a role in the film. Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel have already signed up for the sequel along with directors, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck.

The original Frozen film was a blockbuster success in 2013 and has been adapted into a Broadway masterpiece that earned three Tony nominations this year. Frozen 2 is slated for release on November 27, 2019.

Fans won’t have to wait too long to see Sterling K. Brown on the big screen. He already has a few more films lined up including the recently released thriller, Hotel Artemis. The highly-anticipated film also stars a ton of famous faces including Oscar-winning actress, Jodie Foster, Charlie Day, Brian Tyree Henry, Jeff Goldblum, Dave Bautista, and Kenneth Choi, among others.

Hotel Artemis is set in Los Angeles in 2028 and follows a nurse (Foster) who runs a members-only style, underground hospital for Los Angeles’ most sinister criminals, and finds out that one of her patients is there to kill one of the other patients. Fans will get to see Sterling K. Brown in an unusually sinister role and he’s ready to break some of the hospital rules that include everything from “don’t kill anyone” to “no outside food or drink allowed.”
