On Monday, July 30, Bill Edwards, the mayor of city South Fulton, is planning to present the 49-year-old Brown with an official proclamation, according to reports.

The planned Bobbi Kristina Brown Serenity House, will serve as a emergency transitional shelter and offer a 24-hour crisis intervention line. The center is paying homage to Bobbi Kristina who was found unresponsive in a bathtub and died six months later after being placed in a medically induced coma. Bobbi Kristina’s mother, iconic singer Whitney Houston died in a similar way.

Her father, Brown has been outspoken about the abuse Bobbi Kristina was allegedly was subjected to at the hands of her boyfriend Nick Gordon who was found “legally responsible” for her death. Bobbi Kristina’s estate filed a $50 million lawsuit against Gordon.

Bobby Brown has been laying the groundwork for the domestic violence center and in March held a gala to raise funds for the facility. He spoke about the center earlier saying:

“I just think people should be aware that they have some place to go,” he told Us.

“When you are going through bad times and when you are going through being abused, Bobbi Kristina’s Serenity House is there for you. That’s the easiest way I can say it. It’s too much. Too many women and too many men are being hurt by this disease that people have, abusing people. It’s just not right. I need to do something about it.”

Outrage after video of police officer’s brutal arrest of 13-year-old boy and his little sister goes viral ‘I’m about to send this kid to the hospital!’

“She was a beautiful young lady and what she wanted to do with her life, I wish everybody could have seen,” he said at the time. “Music, entertainment. She was better than me. She was better than her mother.”
