Shannon Sharpe issued some sharp criticism against Michael Jordan on his show Undisputed after the NBA legend issued a brief response to Donald Trump’s insults against LeBron James and Don Lemon.

The conversation over Trump’s comments intensified after he tweeted “Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!” after James criticized Trump saying he is using sports to divide America.

Jordan responded through a spokesperson, saying: “I support LJ. He’s doing an amazing job for his community.”

Sharpe fired back saying that Jordan didn’t do enough to put Trump in his place.

“I believe the retort should also name him. And it should also be equally as harsh. This is the one time, Michael, you have criticize, get-out-of jail-free pass because of what President Trump said about Don Lemon. What he said about LeBron James, given his track record over the past year what he’s said about other prominent African Americans. And you chose, you support LJ? You support him as what? As a father? As a family man? What exactly are you supporting? Michael wants to swim, but he doesn’t want to get wet.”

“I was disappointed in Michael Jordan’s response,” Sharpe tweeted. “Michael wants to swim, but he doesn’t want to get wet.”

James is a hometown hero and the city of Akron hailed the NBA player for opening the “I Promise” school for at-risk kids, despite the fact that Trump has publicly gone on the attack and lashed out against the NBA star.
