R. Kelly claims to have only $350,000, blames ex-wife for financial turmoil, really?

“How can I pay child support? How? If my ex-wife is destroying my name and I can’t work. How can I work? how can I get paid? How can I take care of my kids? How?” he wailed to the camera.

R. Kelly finally spoke out about his financial woes during his emotional interview with Gayle King on CBS This Morning. The 52-year-old said he paid a visit to the bank for the first time on his own last month, learning that he has only $350,000 in his account, according to Page Six.

Kelly explained the amount he had left in his account was the reason he was unable to pay his $100,000 bail in February and why he still owes ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, almost $200,000 in child support.

“So many people have been stealing my money,” he claimed. “People was connected to my account. I went by myself for the first time to a Bank of America. Didn’t know what I was doing, didn’t know what was going on … three weeks ago to a month.

“Because I was so tired of not knowing where my money was, where my publishing was,” he continued.

Kelly said during his visit he told the bank teller to move his money in a new account he created. He was indicted a few days after his trip to the bank, but he said he didn’t have access to the money to pay his bond to be released from jail.

A friend posted bail for Kelly after he spent a weekend in jail.

He was arrested after being charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse, including sexual abuse against minors. Kelly denies the allegations.

The R&B singer was arrested again on Wednesday afternoon failing to pay the child he owes his ex-wife by the deadline ordered by the court. He blamed her for his debt.

“How can I pay child support? How? If my ex-wife is destroying my name and I can’t work. How can I work? how can I get paid? How can I take care of my kids? How?” he wailed to to the camera.

Andrea, like many other alleged victims, revealed the physical and emotional abuse she endured while with him in the documentary, Surviving R. Kelly that aired in January, claiming that he once “hogtied” her.

Kelly accused her of lying, saying he doesn’t “know how to hogtie people,” during his dramatic rant.

“Why would I hogtie her? My kids is listening to this. All of this nonsense and I ain’t spending no time with them. This is real, this is not a lie,” he wept.

“What kind of woman would tear down a dad who’s trying to have a relationship with their kids?”
