The just-under five-minutes-long video shares behind-the-scenes footage of the actor in his leading role of T’Challa, Marvel’s Black Panther superhero. Words from Ryan Coogler, Lupita Nyong’o, and Michael B. Jordan are also included in the tribute.

“I’ve known him since I was about 17, so I’ve known him for a really long time back in New York. He did the work, obviously. I just think he did an incredible job being true to the character,” Jordan remarks on Boseman’s portrayal of Wakandan royalty.

The moving video was shared on Marvel social platforms including Twitter where the company simply stated “You will always be our King.”

The company also released an official statement remembering one of its most prominent leading men.

“We are all heartbroken by the tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman—an extraordinary talent, and one of the most gentle and giving souls I have ever met,” said Robert A. Iger, executive chairman and chairman of the board at The Walt Disney Company.

“He brought enormous strength, dignity and depth to his groundbreaking role of Black Panther; shattering myths and stereotypes, becoming a long-awaited hero to millions around the world, and inspiring us all to dream bigger and demand more than the status quo,” Iger continues.

Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios and the chief creative officer, also shared words on Boseman’s passing.

“He embodied a lot of amazing people in his work, and nobody was better at bringing great men to life. He was as smart and kind and powerful and strong as any person he portrayed. Now he takes his place alongside them as an icon for the ages. The Marvel Studios family deeply mourns his loss, and we are grieving tonight with his family.”
