TheGrio Emerging Filmmaker Fellowship 2024
Directed By: Adrian Burrell

TheGrio’s Emerging Filmmaker Fellowship is a groundbreaking opportunity for Black filmmakers to share their powerful stories with a global audience. TheGrio aims to empower Black filmmakers by providing resources, mentorship, and exposure for their creative endeavors that highlight the richness and diversity of the Black experience. Whether it’s a short film, documentary, or narrative feature, we want to uncover stories that deserve to be seen.
Our inaugural Filmmaker Fellow for 2024 is Adrian Burrell, director of the short film Now and Then, which chronicles the stories of sharecroppers collected while traveling across the Mississippi Delta.
