Blackface is widely acknowledged as racially insensitive, but has redface now become a new way to offend the masses?

Blackface is widely acknowledged as racially insensitive, but has redface now become a new way to offend the masses?
Thursday night, a Washington Redskins fan showed up at their game against the Giants in redface, complete with a black ponytail wig with feathers tucked in it.
According to witnesses, some people in the stands were offended by the display, which is an obvious homage to the team’s controversial name and logo.
“He was sitting a few seats away and a lot of people were talking about how inappropriate and just plain old wrong it was,” a fan, who didn’t want to be identified, told the Daily News. “But I didn’t see anyone confront him.”
