Tuesday, the death of a Bronx non-profit executive who passed after getting injections to enhance her butt was ruled a homicide.

On August 4th, Blanche Barnwell, 40, who was director of health coordination at the company BOOM!Health, died in her apartment.

FDNY responders found her body after a co-worker called 911 and said no one had heard from her.

“Her sister was hysterical in the hallway when she found out,” said the woman, who would only identify herself as Cheryl. “The niece and her cousin and her family were sobbing. They were screaming and hollering.”

Sunday, the medical examiner ruled Barnwell’s death was a homicide caused by “silicone injections in the buttocks” that caused an embolism.

“She was a wonderful individual,” she BOOM!Health spokeswoman, Inez Segarra. “Everyone loved her. When we learned about her death, the entire organization was in total shock.”

Legal butt enhancement procedures can cost up to $7,000, but unlicensed providers charge far less. It remains unclear if Barnwell had the cosmetic procedure at home or someplace else.
