Saturday, hundreds of people came out to General Edward O. Gourdin Park to help honor the rich history of African American soldiers.  The event, officially part of the Sixth Annual African American Military Heritage Day, was organized by the Organization of Afro-American Veterans and celebrates the action and achevement of African Americans from Crispus Attucks, the first man to die in the American Revolution, to men and women servig in the all branches of the Military today.  Read full story here.
